From Sample to Result –
using amino acids as an example
At Bioanalytics Gatersleben, the process from sample delivery to the finished analysis report is clearly structured and designed for maximum efficiency—without compromising on precision or data quality.
Order process up to analysis
Once the order is placed and the samples are received, analytical processing begins immediately: the amino acids are first chemically derivatized with our in-house, ultra-pure fluorescent reagent 6-aminoquinolyl-N-hydroxysuccinimidyl carbamate (AQC). This step ensures stable and highly sensitive detection in the subsequent analytical process.

The separation is then carried out using Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC), a high-resolution method that enables precise separation even of closely related amino acids. Within just six minutes, the target compounds are detected and quantified. Each analysis is validated using calibrated single standards with defined concentrations for maximum accuracy and reproducibility. In this way, you receive reliable quantitative data tailored exactly to your research question.
